驾驶证真的终身有效吗 70岁以上每年需体检

有顺利从驾校学习到驾驶技能的驾驶员都会拿到一个驾驶证，才有资格驾驶机动车。驾驶证有一定的有效时间，过了这个时间段，如果驾车上路的话，就属于无证驾驶。那么驾驶证满足什么样的条件才能终身有效呢？
有效期如何规定的？

我们以拥有人数最多的C1驾驶证作为例子：

初次申领的C1驾驶证，有效期为6年，满有效期后必须申请换证；如果在6年内你的C1证都没有被扣满12分，那驾驶证有效期就会自动升级为10年；

而在10年有效期内，只要所有记分周期都没有扣满过12分，那恭喜你，你驾驶证也升级为“终身有效驾驶证”了。

驾驶证何时会失效呢？有没有年龄限制呢？

驾驶员到了70岁，就需要每年体检一次，将体检报告交到当地交通队，若体检合格就可以继续驾驶汽车。如果年龄超过70周岁就不可以申请C1驾驶证了，但持有驾驶证的人，驾驶证不会作废的。

申领驾驶证年龄条件

1、申请小型汽车、小型自动挡汽车、轻便摩托车准驾车型的，在18周岁以上，70周岁以下；

2、申请低速载货汽车、三轮汽车、普通三轮摩托车、普通二轮摩托车或者轮式自行机械车准驾车型的，在18周岁以上，60周岁以下；

3、申请城市公交车、中型客车、大型货车、无轨电车或者有轨电车准驾车型的，在21周岁以上，50周岁以下；

4、申请牵引车准驾车型的，在24周岁以上，50周岁以下；

5、申请大型客车准驾车型的，在26周岁以上，50周岁以下
